Another very good reason to get your game from us is the price. The game is becoming something of a collectible. Even unsigned copies are selling at quite impressive prices. Have a look;

Seller information has been blanked out because it's certainly not our intention to decry people for engaging in the joys of market economics and supply and demand. But we at The Red Store offer our loyal supporters the only opportunity to purchase signed copies at no extra charge.

TELL YOUR LOCAL GAME STORE: I WANT MY RED STAR PS2!
Many gamers have frequently expressed their frustration at the inadequate availability of the Red Star Playstation 2 game. Many retailers, such as Gamespot (formerly EB Games), Best Buy, and even Amazon.com (which actually sells games on behalf of Target stores, and not from their own supply), only received very limited numbers of the game, or none at all. Our surveys of online gaming forums show this to be one of the most often mentioned issues related to the game. Classic action gaming fans have read all the great reviews, now they wish they could actually get their hands on the game! We hope that readers of this news item can help by reminding their favorite purveyors of gaming goodness to badger their suppliers for more copies of The Red Star game for Playstation 2 (also compatible with Playstation 3 entertainment system).

DEMAND FOR RED STAR GAME OVERWHELMS SUPPLY!

Dear readers,

Much to our delight, the Red Star game has proven to be a great critical and commercial success, climbing to the top of the sales charts despite the lengthy ordeal involved in bringing it to the market.

Unfortunately, due to the scale of it's success, which was a surprise to suppliers, there have been delays in getting large enough shipments of the game to retailers, including our very own Red Store.

For the many, many of you (thank you!) that have already ordered the game from our Red Store, and received our email notice about the delay in shipping, we have some good news. Our suppliers have informed us that a new shipment of the game will soon be on it's way to us. This means your shipments will be going out to you shortly after that as well.

More The Red Star Game reviews

Here are some of the articles and blog entries talking about The Red Star game that we’ve found in our roamings. In no scientific order, here goes;

As it turns out, I had severely underestimated Red Star. Don't be fooled by the bargain-bin sticker price or the leagues of delays this game suffered over the years; this is top-quality classic action gaming, and an experience you shouldn't dare miss.

The Red Star: A History in Covers

But the new cover suggests that someone's doing something somewhere with regard to the game. Even if Makita's going to catch her death of cold.

... all sorts of things, arriving in volumes that can give the postman a career-threatening backache. But we've rarely had such a satisfying delivery as the one we received today, in an average, unassuming padded envelope: a final copy of The Red Star for PlayStation 2, courtesy of EBgames.com.

The Red Star has great pacing; it breaks up the melee action sequences with portions of levels that force you to use your guns. And the great thing about The Red Star is that it succeeds in making both shooting and melee combat equally rewarding.

WELCOME!

Welcome to the Red Star Game news blog!

While we look forward to discussing future game projects on this blog later on, at this time our goal is to keep you informed about the (in)famous The Red Star game for Playstation 2, also compatible with Playstation 3.

The saga of bringing The Red Star game out from under the ashes of Acclaim's bankruptcy all the way to its current release has been an epic journey all its own. The many accounts of these stories can be found all over the net, many written by the same respected game reviewers and hardcore fans that helped keep the game's hopes alive.

From the time of Acclaim's collapse in 2004 until the official press release from XS games announcing that the wait was over, the dedicated gaming press kept asking the question:

Will this quality co-op action/brawler/shooter, a title built by gamers for gamers, survive to see the light of day?

We're proud to say yes. The Red Star's first videogame is finally available to the public, and we couldn't be happier.

We will be bringing you those reviews, comments from gamers, screen shots and other related materials in an ongoing manner here on this website. If You see a link or clip that we've somehow missed, don't hesitate to post them here.

Meanwhile, if you'd like to see the origin stories of this new gaming universe, swing by the Red Star Forums and let us know what you think.
